The International Architecture Biennale kicked off today in Venice. Directed by David Chipperfield and titled ‘Common Ground’ the Biennale brings together the best in architectural talent from across the globe. Centred around the theme of commonality, this year’s exhibit reasserts architecture as a body of common ideals, practices and a shared history. A total of 103 artists, architects, sculptors, photographers and academics are involved this year, in its 13th edition.
